Are you active and positive about life? And are you looking for others who are fun, fit, mature, professional, laid back, positive thinkers that are over 40 and just want to make new friends? Let's get together and work out a calendar filled with skiing, camping, hiking, snow shoeing, dancing, socializing, etc.
Due to a couple of recent (and rare) incidents I have added the following to the group description.
The Grey Wolves is not a singles group and especially it is not a dating group. There are unmarried people and married couples in the group. Our gatherings are not about trolling for dates, sex and such. Harassing behavior is not tolerated. A wide range of activities is encouraged, but I don't allow commercial, religious, political or overtly sexual gatherings on the Grey Wolves calendar. There are plenty of other meetup groups where these things are available.

Come join us as we explore Colorado (and Beyond) with others who enjoy Backpacking and Camping.
Our backpacking trips will involve hiking a mile or much more from a trailhead to locations in the Colorado wilderness. These trips will require backpacks, tents, sleeping bags and other gear and food that you will be carrying on your back needed to keep you fed, warm and dry. We practice Leave No Trace principles to leave the wilderness as pristine (or better) than we found it. Please be prepared with all the gear you will need to enjoy (and survive) Mother Nature. Backpacking participants will need to be over 18 (Unless a family member is going) and pets may not be allowed on some of our backpacking trips, uncheck the regulations on each particular trip. Please read the descriptions of each trip to note the experience level required for that trip. Our main focus is on backpacking… but we include some camping year around (we are one of the few groups that goes winter camping). We try to have short over nighters to Longer backpacks for those with more experence on the Calendar. We encourge members to become trip orginizers - you could have the trip of the year ready to go - Contact the Group Organizer for how to to this.
Specail Note: We are here to have a safe group to go into the wilderness with others that you can trust. We have one main rule - Respect! (failure to follow this one rule can get you banned) This is why we have so much fun as we always show respect for each others, the forest, the park, the others on the trail.. respect!
When we do have our camping trips will include those trips where you can drive up to or very close to the campsite. Some of the trips may involve visiting established campgrounds with water, campfire rings, restroom facilities and fees (contributions will be requested to help defray the reservation costs). Other car camping trips may involve using campsites with no facilities but also no reservation fees. Adults, kids and pets are normally invited to these camping trips, but please read the description of each trip and contact the organizer for that trip if you have any questions. Please be aware that pets are not allowed on trails in some areas See our guidlines for Dogs in the notes. Most other locations in Colorado require that your pet be leashed/restrained at all times. NOTE: if just camping is your main interest, we welcome you to join us but please also look at our other meet up groups focused on TENT CAMPERS of Colorado Meetup as you may find more "camping" trips with this groups.
We hope you will join us in our exploration of Colorado. We always welcome more event organizers to plan and lead trips.
Denver Day Hikers is a group of folks who love the Colorado outdoors. Although we primarily hike, we also love other outdoor activities—from downtown walking tours to snowshoeing to rafting. Join the group to have access to all our hikes and meet some super awesome people in the process!
Our hikes vary from in the mountains to around the Metro area. Although we occasionally do some easier hikes, most of our outings are moderate to strenuous. And occasionally, we may plan out-of-town excursions for 14ers, Great Sand Dunes NP, Mesa Verde NP/Durango, Crested Butte, and other things.
Excepting expenses anyone would incur when hiking (gas/carpool money, food, park entrance, gear, etc), this group is FREE. No organizer will ever ask you to pay or donate just to attend an outing. We simply love being outside and want to share the experience with others.
We are not professional guides and all outings are at your own risk. You understand that, by joining this group and attending any event, you are responsible for your own safety. References to proper gear and safety checklists can be found under our files section (more > files) as well as a release of liability. We also highly recommend you carry your own medical and auto insurance policies as well as a Colorado Outdoors Recreation Search and Rescue (CORSAR) card.
NOTE: Please make sure to review the attendance policy under more > files. Members who no show three times will be removed from the group.

Casual Cocktails is open to everyone who wants to make new friends. Our group meets a few times each month over drinks and/or dinner. Most of our activities take place in the suburbs North of Denver. Most of our members are in our 30's or 40's, but we welcome anyone who can keep up.
Our monthly events include 2 types of events:
For our "Casual Cocktails" events, we meet for a happy hour event over cocktails. These events are bigger in size and are a fun way to meet alot of interesting people.
For our “Dozen for Dinner” events, we schedule a monthly dinner for 12 people to share a meal. The idea is to have a more intimate setting with a smaller group where we have the opportunity to really talk to everyone in attendance.
We have also started doing at least one "Charity" event each quarter. (If you have any special requests, please email me.)
Our events are free to attend! You are only responsible for the food and or drinks that you order.
Get out of the house, meet new people, and join the fun!
Boulder Spanish Meetup! provides a consistent venue for those in the Boulder area who are interested in speaking Spanish (to learn, improve or maintain), Spanish culture, and meeting other like-minded members. All levels are welcome and represented in the current group.
***Meetings are generally each Tuesday evening in various locations with many exceptions so the best bet is to check the calendar on our site often.
***If Tuesday night is not good for you and you would like to host a meetup at your house or another location that you will organize (on any day or night that you choose), just e-mail me a description of the event and I can post it. You may also become an Assistant Organizer if you would like to do this regularly which will enable you to post events yourself. You may limit the attendees if that is a concern (if the event is in your home for example).
***If you would like to propose a particular theme to discuss for any event, include the idea in the text of your RSVP and bring any related materials if necessary to share with the group. This group will have even greater success if others get involved and participate in planning and orchestration.
Hasta pronto!

DO NOT TRY TO USE THIS WEBSITE FOR ADVERTISEMENT OF YOUR PRODUCTS OR SERVICES, except if you would like to be a sponsor of the meetup group!!!!
From a mile high and up. We plan to get together for hikes, snow sports, water sports, camping, and maybe even some happy hours, dinners, and some dancing too. Some events will be for anyone, some will be more strenuous. Even a walk in the park right here in the metro area is an option. If you would like to do something/anything don't hesitate to make a suggestion.
I hope to attract a group of fun loving people with open minds and free spirits. This is not only for "hippies" but for anyone with a tolerant attitude, a love of the outdoors, and a desire to share it with others.
I would like assistant organizers or event hosts, and let me know if you have an event you'd like to host and/or if you'd like the "privilege" of being able to post your own events on the website.
I have a different take on my role than some organizers, which is that I try to trips with some info about the length and difficulty, set up meeting times and usually encourage ride sharing, and beyond that, I don't necessarily consider myself to be the "leader," At most I am a laissez faire leader. I do not mind people splitting into groups that go at different paces, and on up and back hikes am quite OK with people coming that won't go all the way. What I post is what I want to do, you all can decide if you want to come along for all or part of it. If you are interested in seeing if others have in mind some variation of the hike, use your yes or maybe rsvp to mention it and see if anyone else is on the same page. Circle routes are more entertaining for me as it is all new the whole trip, I like them and have some I like doing and on those I will note that we won't be meeting the less ambitious hikers as we come down.
Anyone can use the message board to post appropriate information or suggestions about trips for everyone to see and reply to.
Check the discussions to see what everyone should take on any hike with this group.
Also, please check out my other groups for drop-in volleyball and soccer.

Mobile Monday is a global community started in Finland almost a decade ago and has over 60 chapters worldwide.
The organization works with local and global mobile industry visionaries, and developers fostering cooperation and cross-company business development through virtual and live networking events sharing ideas, best practices and trends from global markets.
All Mobile Monday Chapters encourage innovation within the mobile sector and help local companies participate in initiatives through the import and export of visions, concepts, technologies, know-how and best practices. By continuing to present innovative visions, trends, studies and forecasts from the mobile marketplace we facilitate and create partnerships, while contributing to the education of the broader public through publications and an online presence.
The Colorado Chapter executes on these objectives, by delivering a balanced approach of business and technical content. We look to the local business community for some of this content, but also beyond the borders in order to make sure Colorado knows what is happening outside our borders that can help their business.
We also look to the community to step up and tell us what we can do to help your business. Submit a business problem that the community can help solve, or ideas on content you would benefit from at the meetings.
We look forward to seeing you there! And Smile. It's Monday!

This outdoor group is geared towards the intermediate hiker/backcountry skier/snowshoer. Meaning, those people that hike on a regular basis and get regular aerobic activity. We try to maintain a nice pace, but still want to stop to enjoy the scenery, take a photo and just catch our breaths every now and then. We are not trying to race to the top, or get there by a certain time.
There are other meetup groups for beginner or occassional hikers and there are groups that are far more aggressive in their climbs or distance. Typical hikes are 7 - 15 miles in length and around 1100 - 3500 feet in elevation gain at an intermediate pace.
Snowshoeing trips are 4 - 10 miles, 600 - 2000 feet of elevation gain - avalanche conditions being the limiting factor.
Boulder Wine Meetup is a group of Boulder County wine enthusiasts who meet to taste and drink wine. No experience is necessary and we are all about having fun.
If you sign up for a wine tasting, please show up! No-shows make it hard for organizers. If you would like to host an event, just let us know and we'll help you select a date, determine the type of tasting, and decide on other details. It's easy to host a party where your guests sign up on their own and bring their own wine.
Please note this group is composed of and run by volunteers. No one pre-screens hosts or checks to make sure hosts are doing things properly. No one pre-screens group members who might attend parties. No one checks to make sure you don't drink too much when you attend a tasting. You take full responsibility for yourself if you participate in this group.
The group is great fun and an excellent way to meet fellow wine fans!
Join us for on and off-piste Telemark, Randonee/AT, snowboarding, and the ocassional snowshoe and touring outing. We do resort days, day tours, hut trips, and backcountry (avy skills required), outings.
So Alex picked the name. He'll likely schedule some walking tours, among other things, so we can learn more about the great city we chosen to call home.
Oana wants to go dancing. I seem to recall her wanting a disco night! She's European and discotheques are dance clubs over there. Despite knowing that, I still can't help imagining her in sequins, bell bottoms, and other 70's flair! ;)
Zack wants to hit some comedy clubs. He has a weakness for raunchy stand-up comedians. You know, the racy and offensive ones.
I'll likely host some brunches and outings to free days at various museums, music in area parks, local art fairs, etc.
And we'll see what else we can dig up for when the four of us aren't hiking... since that's our primary passion. If you have some thoughts, feel free to post an idea. But be forewarned that by posting an idea, we may try to recruit you as an event host!
We hope you'll join us sometime!
PS: If you like hiking, check out our hiking group, Denver Day Hikers. And if you're a film buff, check out Avant-Garde Film & Conversation. Since we also have these other two groups, hiking and film events will be posted in their specific group instead of on here.
NOTE: Please make sure to review the attendance policy under more > files. Members who no show three times will be removed from the group.

Thanks for your interest in the Boulder Writers' Workshop. I founded this business in 2008 as part of my private coaching and teaching practice and am gratified that we have grown to nearly 700 writers and publishing professionals in Boulder and throughout the Front Range. In my work in the industry for two decades, I have observed that successful writers have a number of characteristics in common. These include a commitment to network with other professionals, a drive to seek ongoing education and the determination to continually work toward the next level.
The BWW is different from most other meetup groups in that we serve the serious writer by offering high-quality, structured networking and learning opportunities. Every month, we offer an educational workshop taught by myself or a qualified professional. The BWW workshops are held Boulder at the Woody Creek Bakery or are sponsored by the Boulder Book Store. The North Metro Area Writers Chapter workshops are sponsored by the Barnes & Noble in Westminster. I offer a monthly literary salon that gives members a chance to connect and talk about writing and publishing. I am also launching the Flatirons Literary Review, another of my business projects, which will give BWW members and my coaching clients a way to build their professional platform by being involved in a publishing venture, through contributing articles, being a reader, editing a department or helping with administrative tasks. I have some other great offerings in the works--including a by-audition-only critique group and a paid membership level for professional writers.
I have been coaching for ten years, but writing professionally for twenty. I have worked as a magazine editor and have authored a travel book and a collection of short stories. I have written more than a thousand articles and essays. My work has appeared in Creative Nonfiction, The New York Times, Arizona Highways, America West Airlines Magazine, Working Woman, PHOENIX Magazine, Black Enterprise, Incentive and elsewhere. A story from my short story collection was a Top-25 Finalist in the 2010 December Glimmer Train Fiction Open and my nonfiction awards include a first place in business writing from Arizona Press Women.I have taught at Arizona State University's journalism school, in Phoenix College's creative writing program and at the Virginia C. Piper Center for Creative Writing at Arizona State University. I am also the founder and director of the Associated Writing Coaches. I live in Boulder with my husband and son. We are a homeschooling family. You can learn more about me at www.lorideboer.com and you can book as session with me at www.bookeo.com/lorideboer/customer.
I am open to partnering with other writing coaches and teachers on workshops, conferences and retreats and request that you approach me directly instead of posting to the group. We try to keep e-mails down to a minimum, so anyone soliciting the group will be removed.
If you want to join up with us, we require that you fill out your profile and load an actual photo of yourself. We also run a private group on Facebook, which is another great way to connect and be updated on opportunities
Happy writing!
Lori DeBoer

This group is for any recreational mountain biker that wants to meet up with people for trail rides around Boulder. There are rides for all skill levels: beginner, intermediate, and maybe even a few advanced. The rides are meant to be fun for all, so those intimidated by more advanced riders, fear not. These are ego-free rides. If you need to get off your bike and walk it up a steep or tricky section, it's OK! We'll try to keep a pace that works for the whole group.
Here are some of the trails we frequently ride around Boulder, and a rough guideline regarding their level of difficulty:
Betasso - Beginner (easy)
Marshal Mesa - Beginner (easy)
Dowdy Draw - Beginner/Intermediate (medium)
Heil Ranch - Intermediate (hard)
Walker Ranch - Intermediate (hard)
(you can google these trails for more descriptions of their length and difficulty)
Ride details will be posted so you can judge for yourself what fits your skill level. Please arrive a few minutes before the posted time of the ride. If it says the ride is at 6pm, then that's when we start peddling. Looking forward to seeing you on the trail!
Meet other women in your community for lunch/dinner and or happy hour. This group is designed for women from their 20's-40's to get together to network socially.
Are you interested in reconnecting with nature, getting outside, and learning more about yourself?
More than just a hiking club, this is a MeetUp for people who want to experience a new appreciation of the land around the Front Range and nature. We will be learning how to "read" nature's omens for deeper insights, how to cultivate inner wisdom, and how to be mindful and present while hiking. I formed this group because I know there's no other hiking club quite like this one, where contemplation and nature-awareness is the focus, not exercise or social time. I have a Master's Degree in Ecopsychology (the study of the human-nature relationship) and am publishing a book on contemplative hiking.
The hikes will be mostly silent, with a short talk before, an activity during, and a discussion afterward. Silence enables us to listen to what's around us and in us and to experience nature fully. We will not be doing goal-oriented like "bagging" any peaks or racing through a trail. Our hikes will be moderately paced on easy-to-challenging trails. The typical distance we'll cover will be 3-5 miles or about two hours. You should be in good health, able to handle strenuous exercise and own basic gear such as hiking boots, YakTrax (for winter), a backpack and a rainproof jacket.
Sometimes I will post an essay to read ahead of time, which will be fodder for the hike and a discussion afterward.
For more information about this MeetUp and contemplative hiking, visit my website at http://www.ContemplativeHiking.com

Get together for a casual chat with other bloggers from Colorado's Front Range -- especially the Boulder-Denver area. We alternate monthly meetings between Boulder and Denver.
Open to anyone - beer drinkers, wine drinkers and even non-drinkers. Come to a meetup to meet new people and to eat and drink at the many establishments in the Boulder area.
This group is for anyone who wants to learn more about the natural world.
My name is Lauren Bond Kovsky and I am a naturalist and wilderness based life coach based in Boulder, CO. As part of my offering, I do low cost and donation based outings for anyone interested in plants, animals, birds, wild edibles, geology, survival skills, and more! There will be a different theme for each outing.
We've watched baby owls grow up, eaten berries and other wild edibles, laughed a whole lot, taken some incredible photos, made plaster casts of tracks, watched eagles fly overhead, found fossils in the foothills, had an incredible blustery snowshoeing adventure, and more!
Our members come from a wide range of backgrounds, fitness levels, and ages. We all enjoy stopping to smell the flowers, take photos, and eat berries.
Our outings are designed to be accessible to everyone. We take our time and stop on the trail regularly to explore our surroundings and look at the birds. We have a ton of fun, learn a lot, and we love meeting new people!
Please see my website- http://www.thepathtransitions.com for more information on my background and the other offerings I have. You can also find out information on the http://www.meetup.com/Boulder-Naturalist-Outings/about/ page of the meetup site. Please feel free to contact me directly if you have any questions or concerns!
Howdy and Welcome to Colorado Camping and Getaways!
DO NOT TRY TO USE THIS WEBSITE FOR ADVERTISEMENT OF YOUR PRODUCTS OR SERVICES, except if you would like to be a sponsor of the meetup group!!!!
This group is for folks of all ages who just want to slow down, take their time and have a more harmonious outcome with nature and to experience the scenery and the beauty of Colorado. This group is for those of you who would like to camp-out, backpack off into the wilderness, fish, bike, hike and do whatever you want to do. Feel free to organize any of these activities if you would like. Your choice of location, time, and number of people that you think would be appropriate. But it's up to you to find your own experience, journal it and write a book!
Makes no difference if you are native to the area or just drove into town. All positive minded kind people are welcome.
I would also like those of you who play a stringed instrument such as a guitar, banjo, fiddle or maybe a jug or two to bring them along with you.
If you would like to host a camp-out, hike, bike or other activity please let me know, send me some information and we'll get it done. If you would like to be a event organizer so you can offer an activity also please contact me.
I believe those of us who have been privileged to spend the night under the stars in an isolated mountain valley know that the wilderness transforms us in settle ways that linger long after the glow of the campfire and the smell of the pine needles are gone.
So pull up a log, grab some grub and let's surround a campfire!!!
Welcome to Colorado Camping and Getaways!

Our goal is to encourage more people to ride more often and provide as many opportunities for that as possible.
We try to be inclusive and provide rides for cyclists of all ability levels. Read this to learn how we rate our rides: http://www.meetup.com/bicycle-longmont/pages/Stumped_On_Which_Ride_to_Join%3F_Read_This%21
If you are a new or returning cyclist, we hope you will find some rides scheduled here that match what you want to do. If not, please email Buzz, our organizer, or suggest a ride on the home page. All members can suggest and create rides.
If you are located in or near Longmont and would like to help us organize rides in this area, I would be happy to make you an Event Organizer... If you have requests or ideas for rides, let me know. Event Organizers are needed to lead both road and mountain bike rides. It doesn't take much to lead a ride... you just have to show up.

**NOTE- Leagues are running year-round! Check our main website for details soon!!
Although we've been in business for more than eight years, we've now decided to introduce ourselves on a meet-up group to try to reach out in a convenient way for our players.
Come play with us! We are the Colorado Volleyball Connection and we cater to both competitive and recreational players as well as beginners, and invite both individual and team registrants. We will connect you with a team any time you need us to. We run fall and winter indoor court volleyball leagues as well as summer sand and grass. Please visit the website at www.coloradovolleyballconnection.com for full details (click on the "upcoming leagues" link to the left, then "more info" next to the top heading) or feel free to email us coloradovolleyballconnection@comcast.net.
We started this company in 2002 because at the time, it was difficult to find women's height volleyball nets, but now we have grown to cater to men, women and coed leagues and we are loving it! Coed BB 4's, Coed REC 6's, Women's BB 4's and Coed B 6's are our most popular leagues but we are always open to new formats and will always try to run formats our players are looking for. Youths are welcome too as long as they play at the level of league they have signed up for.
In 2011 our indoor leagues are running in a couple of locations in Wheat Ridge. Our upcoming winter leagues begin the first week of January and are in open enrollment currently. It's never too late however, as we are ALWAYS seeking players and free agents for our sub list.
We strive for good, solid, safe volleyball in a atmosphere that is nurturing and fun. We promote skills, laughter and the occasional sand in your pants!
Please seek us out. You'll be happy to find a fun loving group that enjoys volleyball and each other's company!

CHAOS is an informal, Boulder-based group of energetic, fun, non-competitive, backcountry enthusiasts who are in their 20s, 30s, or 40s who enjoy self-powered and self-organized activities including hiking, backpacking, biking, snow shoeing, skiing, mountaineering, and river sports.
CHAOS' main Goal is to be a community through which one can make life-long friendships, share backcountry trips, expand outdoor and leadership skills, appreciate nature and enjoy the sense of community, teamwork, and challenge that prospers in backcountry situations.
As a member you will be able to check activities on this website, and post your own trips/events. Note that all trips should be for CHAOS by CHAOS, outdoors, and self powered.
CHAOS actively encourages its members to organize trips but does not supervise the activities. CHAOS is not a guide service and a person should only go on trips they feel are appropriate for their ability and experience level.
If you have questions, ask the trip organizer! Many trip organizers love to help out new members and will gladly answer any questions you have about the trip, what equipment to bring, etc. Above all else, have fun and be safe!
Here is a Welcome To Chaos document with more information: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1aLFTysl452wTZcaSYt3KP4brsqsqL867Cos1xZ2gavg/edit?hl=en_US
Many past and present members believe that CHAOS enormously improved their "young adulthood and pre-family" phase of life. To ensure that this wonderful opportunity remains for future members, they should be in their 20's, 30's or 40's when they join CHAOS.
If the members' ages or the group's style don't feel like a good fit for you, we suggest you check out one of the other great clubs in Boulder like the Flatirons Ski Club, the Boulder Outdoor Group, the Colorado Mountain Club, the Boulder Nordic Ski Club, the Sierra Club, or the C.U. Hiking Club (office in UMC).
Please be respectful when you RSVP to events, and only RSVP if you know you will make the event; especially if there is a limited number of spots available. If you end up with three no-shows; whether it's a no call/no show, or a cancel at the last minute; you will be removed from the group.
Boulder:Create celebrates all things creative in the Boulder/Denver area. Starting this year, Boulder:Create will be focused on all things creative in our community. We hope to introduce the group to creative people in other circles you may not have thought of yet: poetry, custom bikes, craft beer, etc.
We hope you come along for the ride!

The term "Asian food" covers a lot of different cuisines. We're open for anything, including food from China, Japan, Korea, Cambodia, Laos, Thailand, Viet Nam, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, the Philippines, India, Sri Lanka and Pakistan. We'll visit little "hole in the wall" restaurants as well as upscale places. There are so many options! Most of the events will be in the north end of Denver and downtown, but you never know how far south we'll go for some good food.
Eating out requires a reservation, so if you have a "yes" RSVP we will hold a seat for you and your guests at the event. If you or your guests don't show up, that's a "no show" and you only get one of those for free. After two no shows you'll be removed, so use your free one wisely.
The purpose of this meetup site is to list all the raw events going on in the town of Boulder. Whether you are just curious or been all raw for years, everyone is welcome. No need to RSVP for events, just come on down! So far the line up is:

"Sometimes it's more about the Journey then it is the destination" The virtue lies in the struggle, not in the prize. (Richard Monckton Milnes)
When you hear the word adventure, everyone will have different ideas and images on just what that is, because, what some of you might think is adventurous might not be so adventurous to the person next to you. And you don't have to be an Adrenaline Junkie or Thrill Seeker to enjoy adventures either.
Here are some definitions that you might find in a dictionary under the word Adventure:
An exciting experience; A bold undertaking involving uncertainty and Risk; A challenging journey;
It's Discovery; It's an excursion; It's an expedition; It's Exploration; It's a voyage; It's a crossing; It's traversing; It's Traveling; It's something out of the ordinary; It's something dangerous; It's something intense; It's Inspirational; It's Peak Experiences; It's a Competition; It's something surprising and unexpected; It's a change in your life or direction; It's something that's new or different that isn't an everyday occurrence. It's tremendous exhilaration.
"Life is either a daring adventure or nothing." - Helen Keller

www.runBARE.com, the barefoot running school is title sponsor of the Barefoot Running Club, based in Boulder, CO. The Barefoot Running Club offers free introductory courses and fun group runs for people curious about getting into barefoot running. More advanced instruction can be found at www.runBARE.com
Michael Sandler, former speed skater and professional level cyclist, suffered multiple injuries over the course of a lifetime, the last of which occurred just over 3 years ago. Weeks before a planned inline skating world record attempt across the country (LA to NYC) to raise awareness about ADD/ADHD, Michael experienced a life altering accident. While inline skating down Boulder Creek Trail, a father teaching his toddler how to walk stepped in front of Michael's path. To avoid a collision, Michael threw himself backwards, landing in mid-rotation on concrete. The result - a broken arm, broken hip, shattered femur and spike which had to be drilled through his knee. Doctors told him the usual story - he may not be able to keep his leg... he may not be able to walk again... he most definitely would never be able to run again.
Fortunately, Michael doesn't believe in limitations. He'll be the first to tell you he doesn't believe in the word, "Can't". Slowly but surely, through a combination of determination, meditation, trust in the universe and the power of nature, Michael became a walking miracle.
Only a week out of his living room hospital-bed, he set the record for finishing the Bolder Boulder on crutches (and a broken arm). Two weeks later, Michael finished the Denver Half Marathon on crutches (second to last) and became the only person to ever complete the half marathon on crutches.
When he finally got off his crutches, Michael gradually worked himself into barefoot running. He was still being told he couldn’t run anymore, and with a ‘leg length discrepancy’ of over 10 millimeters, struggled to find balance and overcome nagging pain. Known as ‘Mr. Plantar Fasciitis’ from before the accident, when he needed custom orthotics just to walk across the living room floor, going barefoot was a major leap of faith. The first day, he ran 100 yards. Then he iced his feet for 2 days. The second time, he ran 200 yards. Then iced for another 2 days. And so it went. Today, Michael can be seen barefoot running up Flagstaff Mountain passing road cyclists. He's capable of running 50+ miles barefoot and is currently averaging 80-100 miles barefoot running a week.
To Michael, barefoot running is not running at all. He says, "I don't run anymore. I dance." The benefits are multifold. Barefoot running activates many more small muscle groups than running with shoes. It allows us to run as our hunter-gatherer ancestors did - the natural way our body was intended to run. It heals old sports injuries and by promoting a more natural form, giving us greater feedback with the ground, and by keeping us lower to the ground, prevents new injuries. Barefoot running naturally promotes better, more efficient running posture and allows runners to surpass any speed they were ever able to attain with shoes. While the body heals, strengthens and economizes, the spirit heals and awakens. There's something to be said about feeling the earth beneath one's feet - feeling connected and grounded with nature. Suddenly, you're thinking more clearly and you're on top of the world.
Michael and I want to share the beauty of barefoot running and its healing power with the world... starting with one bare foot at a time. Come out and join us. We'd love to see you in whatever shape, size or form. ---All Levels Welcome, Runners and Non-Runners Alike---

A meeting place for graduates of "Rebuilding When Your Relationship Ends" (or "Fisher Divorce Seminar," as it was known in the past). Membership is limited to graduates of Rebuilding or Fisher Seminars only. This group is intended to be a focal point for Rebuilders' activities and events. The Rebuilding Community has been, and continues to be, a safe haven and community for all involved. As such, this group needs to be all-inclusive. Therefore: 1) No individual(s) should be excluded from participating in any activity or event. 2) There may be, however, limits placed on the number of participants. 3) If you wish your activity or event restricted to a certain group or people (such as your own Rebuilding class), please use another means of communication like email or eVite. 4) Absolutely no solicitation or advertising within this meetup group!! There are a limited number of group administrators who coordinate activities/events. Please let us know what you'd like to do and we'll be happy to help you. ** As there is a semi-annual fee to host this group on Meetup.com, we'll be asking for a very modest $1.00 donation for activity / event attendees to help support this group. We thank you in advance for your help.
Please note:
This Meetup is open only to graduates of the Fisher Divorce Seminar or Rebuilding When Your Relationship Ends. If you have not completed either of these two seminars and try to join anyway, your request will be (politely) declined.
If you are interested in taking "Rebuilding When Your Relationship Ends," please visit www.rebuildingseminars.com.
The tagline sums it all up: (blank)...but SEXY!!!
APOD focuses on model photography: casual, lingerie, swim suit, implied nude, art nude, etc.
We often have playful themes: pillow fights, zombie attacks, hobo hitchhiking, etc. but with a sexy twist (which, I guess, just makes many themes even MORE playful...if not downright silly)
Our workshops are not teaching seminars...there are peer help group shoots.
Digital Gunslingers and Ethical Entrepreneurs bring common sense back to the web and in business by promoting and practicing the virtues of honesty, transparency, authenticity, credibility, accountability, integrity, and humility. We believe that social media is not a silver bullet - it's not for everyone or perfect for every situation. We believe that business should support the community, the employees, and the customers as their primary assets. You have to start with the right mentality and a plan. That's where we come in. The purpose of the Digital Gunslinger MeetUp group is to provide simple and free or low-cost Social Media education and training, promote Social Media events, and highlight the best of the online community. We also teach on the principles of Entrepreneurship - financial, project management, and other worthwhile and useful skill sets to have in business. Most classes are $1, the money goes to pay for the cost of the MeetUp Group ($72/6mos). Once that cost is met, we donate the rest to charity. The charity is chosen by the group once we reach $50. If you're unemployed, the classes are free. We meet weekly for fun and for knowledge - discussions are welcome, dissent is encouraged.
This group is for moms in the Longmont Area that want to promote an encouraging, healthy, safe and creative environment for their children as well as celebrate their lives as mothers and more.
We have activities DAILY. We get together for play dates, art classes, music & movement, gym play, fitness classes, card games, book discussions, coffee mornings, lunch dates, dinner dates, picnics, movie nights, zoo trips etc. SAHDads are always welcome @ public events and whole families are welcome at family events!
We were people before we had children, so this group strives to offer mom only events in addition to kid events that let us try new things, share our skills, think, talk and grow as people, as well as mothers.
By becoming a member you will build a tight community of moms to share advice, tips and most importantly laughter. We have kids of all ages, ranging from newborn to elementary- so check out our calendar to see where we'll be next!
Our group is FREE thanks to our awesome sponsors! We will also be adding speakers to the group also for FREE thanks to the donations of these great local companies!

Unfortunately you WILL NOT BE APPROVED if you haven't got a photo of YOURSELF on your profile. (This is how we find you at an event)! This is a "safety" reason only. We host playgroups at our homes & we don't want our address avail. for random strangers. We know moms understand.
We hope you will join us in our adventures in mommyhood and we look forward to welcoming you into our group!

This group is a Private (information is shared only with members who are approved by the Organizer) and is open to more members! All you need to do is "Join"!
There's nothing quite as wonderful as a group of people creating together and establishing friendships over a sip...whether it's Guinness, tea or wine.
This group is an opportunity to meet like-minded, creative folks who live in or near the Boulder area. I have found that having a group that meets regularly can assist in the completion of projects that have been languishing in the closet.
Anyone with a creative talent is encouraged to join. Knitters, writers, jewelery makers, art journalers, artists, programmers, papercrafters, needlecrafting - anyone with a "hobby" that you find is being placed on the back burner while life happens. You'll find encouragement with us and you might even find some inspiration to help you move forward with another project.
All members are encouraged to post suggestions for meetups. Do you have a creative talent that you'd like to share with the rest of us? Do you have an art museum, store or other venue you'd like to check out? Post a meetup so we can all benefit from the inspiration!
Your craft will need to be somewhat portable as we'll mostly be meeting in pubs, tea houses, coffee shops, wine bars and the like.
Baby Boomers (NOT SENIORS!) Singles Birth years 1944-1964 Will be organizing special events, activities, dances, potlucks, cook "togethers", weekend getaways in Colorado, etc. - maintaining equal ratios of men/women This group will be for those individuals who want to meet other Baby Boomer Singles for friendships, relationships, activities and fun
Meet fellow Polyamorists in and near Boulder, as well as other supporters of nonmonogamous, honest, consensual multipartner relationships and families. Talk about open relationships, polyfidelity, honesty, respect, and alternate forms of commitment. Anyone interested is welcome!

If you don't believe in supernatural entities or powers, if you are concerned about religious intolerance or religiously motivated violence, if you rely on human reasoning and science to guide your decisions and behavior, if you have a naturalistic view of the world, or you just don't believe in God or gods, you are not alone. The Boulder Atheists group provides presentations, meetings, and serves as a social community for atheists, agnostics, rationalists, secular humanists, Brights, and free thinkers in and around Boulder, Longmont, Lafayette, Broomfield, and surrounding communities in Northern Colorado.
Boulder Atheists wish to promote the understanding and acceptance of atheism with public education, good deeds, public activities and affiliations with other local and national secular groups. We have regular monthly meetings on the fourth Sunday of each month at the Main Branch of the Boulder Public Library. We also schedule regular social events such as our Thursday lunches at 12:30 PM at a restaurant in Boulder, a monthly evening social, Summer and Winter Solstice socials, field trips and visits to sites of interest in Northern Colorado.
Our events will be posted on the Meetup calendar and on the Events page of our website. All of our events are open to the public.

If you would like to expand your social network of Christian singles then come out an join us! Enjoy making new friends in a non-threatening, healthy environment doing fun and exciting activities. As we all try to follow God's plan for our lives, who says we have to do it alone?
We want to do it God's way, not our way - to create an environment where God can move in our lives, to keep our eyes on God, so that we can allow that person that God wants us to be to shine through us. We may all be in different places in our lives but we are all want to do our best to glorify God.
If you have a heart for God and are single, come join us! Let's have fun while also keeping our eyes on God!
P. S. We are not associated with any particular church or any other Meetup groups, but we do collaborate with area churches and share ideas. We would like to be a blessing to singles in the entire body of Christ!

We play a lot of mostly cover tunes -- folk/rock music -- see list on the site under the "More"=> Files Tab. I enjoy playing my mountain dulcimer and singing with others, jamming, sharing songs -- covers and personal tunes. We meet about once a month as a large group in homes (my house or others) or at Harmony Music House in Boulder. A co-organizer of this group offers beginning guitar classes at his home, and there is talk of starting a singer/song-writers group. Other members are welcome to host groups in their homes as well -- with a focus, e.g. blues/improv, etc.

Got a good venue for this meetup? Let me know!
This social group is for those who would like to meet people of calm and quiet personality who enjoy discussing intellectual topics in a collected manner. Smart and intuitive chicks and dudes with an open minded sense of humor of any nationality and in their 20s and 30s, or thereabout, are highly encouraged to join.
The word 'social' often conjures others words like extroverted, loud, busy, popular for which there are many meetup groups already filling this role. As such, this group aims to attract the other side of the spectrum in personalities that, quite honestly, don't really have many outlets to socialize. Introverted, bookworm, self-concious, shy, smart, witty, independent, and intelligent are not ugly words around here. We like those people so please attend. :)
Feel free to talk about all topics, ideas, concepts and theories in areas such as, but not limited to, science, philosophy, technology, psychology, law, medicine and current events, but keep in mind that it is a social group and some events may be void of intellectual discussion unless you bring it up. Furthermore, this group is not for overly sensitive people who over-analyze wording such as our use of the word 'chicks' while ignoring the intent and context of such light-hearted descriptions or discussions. Jokes remain as such if that's how they are intended regardless if there's some truth to them. It's the little bit of truth that makes them humorous but there's no need to be ugly either, so keep that in mind. Also, if there's 10 members at a meetup and you talk 90% of the time, you aren't calm or quiet nor giving other members the opportunity to discuss their opinions on the matter. That said, sometimes it's appropriate to dominate a conversation (depending on the event) and we're not tyrants nor collecting data for future retaliation... We're just saying that the quiet ones are 'people' too ;). A healthy sense of humor and open mindedness is required. Regardless of what popular culture thinks is 'polite', we won't censor discussions as long as they are discussed in a fair manner. Small and flexible events are prefered. We prefer smaller gatherings because large events don't attract calm and quiet conversations or environments. It's the small gatherings that let us get beyond the 'What do you do?' conversation starters as our members prefer deeper discussions. Um, am I right?
So, if you enjoy conversations with calm and quiet personalities in their 20s and 30s feel free to drop by one of our events or host one of your own. We also encourage members to host their own events to mix things up a bit. Event hosts can host as per their judgement as long as it's reasonably within the description of the group set forth here. Feel free to suggest event ideas and we'll make you an assistant.
If you have any questions or comments regarding a particular event, please email the event host on that listing. If you have general questions about the group, feel free to email the organizer directly.
For future reference, the following link brings you to Brainy Characters instantly.

We love improv theater! Both long-form scene work and short form are studied here. We meet weekly to practice the fine art of improvisation: listening, reacting, being in the moment, and character development. Amazing scenes and games emerge as a result. Different players lead playnights based on a theme they've created. We've got some amazing workshops, play nights, and big plans!
A book, some coffee and great conversations. Hooked on Books is for everyone who feels a connection to Books and Reading. We read different genres and meet to discuss a new book, to ponder, share our thoughts and talk about the chosen book. Our Meetings are on the second Saturday of the month at 11 a.m.
Our discussions usually last about an hour, with an extra 15 minutes or so to let everyone catch up with each other and take in the setting.
There is a quarterly poll to determine what we'll read for the next three months. The book selection process is simple – members suggest books and vote for the books we want to read for the next three months. Our book suggestion and voting months are: Dec, Mar, June & Sep.
These meetups are fairly relaxed, so if you weren't able to finish the book or haven't had a chance to read it, you are still more than welcome to come to the meeting just to discuss books in general, laugh, share stories and make new friends!
And as Dr. Seuss said,"The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more you learn the more places you'll go."....
Come and play Warhammer Fantasy and 40K in open games or tournaments! Open gaming at Gryphon Games & Comics every Thursday night and Saturday. Check upcoming events for tournament, league and mega-battle schedules!
See the Fort Collins Warparty website for general discussion and Warparty Club information. The Fort Collins Warparty and Gryphon Games & Comics hold separate events. Gryphon events such as tournaments are open to the public while Warparty events are for Club Members only. Click the "About" link on the left to see more About us!

Network with other professional women in a relaxed setting to discuss current events, share experiences and build business relationships. Learn valuable tips, such as Public Speaking, Branding, Social Media, and Networking.
This is a wonderful, supportive group.....as Rose says, it's like our moms used to sit around the table and drink coffee....plus a small business orientation. The only "format" is to give a 30-second "commercial" or introduction (and some of our members ask for feedback to "tweak" their intro), plus some time to talk about our wants and needs. Lots of time for informal socialization....and no attendance "requirements"..... Gale Toko
The goal of this group is to get professionals and dedicated, serious photographers together. Digital photographers are welcome, as are shooters of view cameras, film, lomo, medium format, digital back, pinhole, etc. This group is not intended for beginners. While this group is intended as a learning tool, we won't be going over the basics of photography, or the basics of using cameras and equipment.
Discussion of fine art, trends, commercial work, stock shooting, photo journalism, business strategies, exhibition and gallery experiences, techniques, and equipment are all fair game. Critiques, group shoots, workshops / seminars, and portfolio reviews are always in the works, so keep coming back for more!

Please note that there have been a few members that did not agree that I continue to organize this group as a married person and have left while others are excited that my husband and I are choosing to stay involved. p.s. The best singles leaders that I had in my life were a married couple!!
Northern Colorado Christian Singles lets get on the map! Keep this group in prayer and may the Lord minister to all through this group!
Meet other Christian business owners and managers in the area in order to share testimonies, challenges, and provide counsel to one another.
As Christians it is our responsiblity not to shelter ourselves from the secular world but instead to empower and encourage one another so that we can go into the world and make a difference for Christ.
God Bless and hope to see you at the next Meetup!!
Here's a meetup group for women who want to get into shape, enjoy the outdoors, and socialize. Our walks/hikes are typically on trails in and around Boulder. The trails vary – some are almost flat for those of us with knee/ankle injuries or other recovering body parts, others are more difficult and may not be suitable for those with joint issues, etc. So please be sure to check the location & difficulty level on each meetup. Feel free to walk as far or as fast as you like, and don't worry about being too slow.
Ideas for places to go are appreciated. We know that people vary in times they are available and types of trails they like. And, if you'd like to lead a hike to your favorite spot, you can post it yourself on the home page under "Lets..." or just let Natalie or Barbera know and we'll post it for you. Info needed are date, time, where to meet (address and a meeting location), and perhaps a little about the trail.
If you're not 40+ you are still welcome. Guests may attend too including spouses. Thanks and see you on the trails!
The Boulder/Denver Outdoor Industry comes together each month to network, socialize and discuss pertinent topics. Join us! Our members are professionally involved in the outdoor recreation business in some capacity, either directly or indirectly.
Meet kindred book lovers in the Boulder Bookaholics Book Club. A group for people who love books, who love to discuss books and who aren't adverse to having a glass of wine, cup of coffee or bite to eat whilst doing so!
This book club has 3 strands (because we're all different!):
- fiction (meets second Tuesday of every month)
- non-fiction (meets third Tuesday of every month)
- fantasy or sci-fi (meets fourth Tuesday of every month)
We try to read books available in used bookstores and libraries, and where possible, that are available in eReader formats.
We do not allow any marketing messages at any time - this is a "commercial-free zone". We're getting together to share a love of reading and ideas about the books that we've chosen, not to hear sales messages! (We hear enough already!)
These meetups are fairly relaxed, so if you weren't able to finish the book or haven't had a chance to read it, you are still more than welcome to come to the meeting just to discuss books in general, laugh, share stories and make new friends!
All members are encouraged to post their own books and run their own meetups in the interest of building a vibrant book reading and discussion community in Boulder and beyond!
Rather than bashing rival technologies, come learn and participate in the Tech Throwdown panel discussion. We're going to bring in some of the area's brightest technology talent to present on competing technologies. Each presenter will have 30 minutes to cover his or her topic, followed by a panel discussion with audience participation. Nubes are welcome, but the presentations and panel discussion will assume working knowledge of the subject.
The group will meet bi-monthly on the last Thursday of the month Starting on August 25, 2011.
A local group of easy-going professional, semi-professional and aspiring photographers in the Northern Adams and South Weld county area of Colorado. We are bringing together local photographers looking to expand their portfolio and improve creatively in all facets of photography.

Cloud computing is changing the way we work and reshaping the way we manage and run companies. From startups to enterprises, it is disrupting the IT landscape. Come discuss how these Web products and services flatten the competitive landscape, and allow your business to put a ceiling on your costs while removing the ceiling from your growth.

The world is pretty much half men, half women. So why are there so few women working in digital? We decided to stop chatting about it and do something. SHESAYS holds events where top females in the digital industry share their ideas while helping each other thrive and advance their careers:
Digital agencies
Tech, social media, ecommerce businesses
Women actively working in digital creative, UX, technology, business management. marketing, advertising or consulting
We have our own award called The Golden Stillettos which is actually the first ever wearable award. Our newest program, Who's Your Mama?, provides one-on-one mentoring opportunities.
SHESAYS has been running monthly events for three years. What started as a small community in London has grown to seven cities across the world and over 3,000 members. We are really different from other organizations in that everything we do comes from our members suggestions – and we never charge for meetings.

So you know who you are. You are an older, single lesbian who has absolutely outgrown the bar scene. But you still crave a sense of woman-centered community - a community of women who DO things, experience life and enjoy all of the many different activities there are to enjoy in the Denver area.
This is not necessarily a meet-up for hook-ups - but a way for us to get out and meet like-minded women while we do things - fun things. The bars are there for whenever you want to go out. But this group is for those of us who want to "meet up" and meet women while we are doing the things we enjoy.
Here is a sampling of the kinds of activities I will be arranging over the course of the year:
Bowling
Movie at Cinnebarre (eat & drink while you watch current releases)
Paint your own pottery party
Bike ride
Just a nice walk in the park, followed by brunch
Night out at the theatre followed by dinner out
IMAX movie
Afternoon at the museum with coffee afterwards
Cooking class
Horseback riding
Downtown Denver brew tour

So, what do you say, single lesbians who are over 40?
Weekly meditation practice and instruction and weekend retreat intensives in the tradition of Chogyam Trungpa Rinpoche and Reggie Ray. Located in downtown Boulder, Colorado.
Journeys to Tantric Bliss is dedicated to educating modern minds on the ancient secrets of Tantra. Tantra. It's a path of meditation…what sets it apart from other 'paths' is that it looks to the wisdom of the body and the senses as a means to becoming more present and alive in every aspect of our life. Tantra sees lovemaking as an important key in accessing 'bliss' or 'ecstasy'. Our bodies have a deep wisdom that modern life has become accustomed to ignoring. Tantra uses simple exercises including breath, movement, sound, and communication techniques to help us re-discover the wisdom of the body and uncover deeper and deeper levels of pleasure. The work of Tantric Bliss is an integration of all elements of life. It brings the essence of lovemaking and pleasure to all that one does, viewing relationship as a fertile ground for growth and self-awareness. Removing anything that stands in the way of an honest and loving connection and making way for delight in all things. Group facilitated by Judith aka Bliss who practices within the lineage of Margot Anand - Sky Dancing Tantra and OSHO. Guest presenters are scheduled periodically to enrich our Journeys to Tantric Bliss experiences. No nudity or explicit sexual activity. Held in a space of respect, safety and serenity. It's tough to describe a group that has no theme, no agenda and no set schedule. Sometimes we'll feel like doing something random so it will be scheduled here. Everyone is welcome.
The only thing you can plan on is that there is no plan!
Just for you, a random picture posted on the front page at random times for no reason at all.
Welcome to Boulder Jazz Fans!
The purpose of the group is to promote local jazz in the Boulder area. You can find out what jazz events are happening in the area, and arrange to meet new friends who love jazz -- either to go to various Boulder area jazz clubs with, or to find other jazz musicians you might want to play with.
Upcoming jazz events: All members can view jazz events and upcoming gigs. To see what events have been posted, go to "Meetups" on the top blue bar, and go to "Calendar" on the drop-down menu.
Have an idea? Any member can also post a suggestion under "Ideas," also on the top blue menu bar.
To post a jazz event: The calendar is where musicians can post their jazz event, or read about events that others have posted there. Some of the events are scheduled as "meetups," with RSVP's and email reminders. Others are just posted for info on the calendar. In either case, it's the place to list or to read about upcoming events. How to post: (musicians only) Put your cursor on the calendar date when your event is happening. You'll see two icons pop up. Click on the yellow icon on the right, and you'll get to a screen where you can post details about your jazz event. If you click on the left little icon, you'll get to a screen to post it as a "meetup," with follow-up RSVP requests and emails. Contact me if you have q's or probs doing this - I'm at 001tara@live.com . --Jane

Your time with Shoot Colorado dot Com is time well spent. Our mission is to ensure that all of our sessions are designed to provide every attendee with some extraordinary advantages: 1) Every event is productive and original. We may repeat a successful session a number of times for the greater good of the group, but each new event is carefully planned for the highest possible return for those in attendance. 2) Each session is limited to a productive level of participants. No more Meetup Group Sessions where there are 50 people in a small studio with two models and no oxygen. 3) Many of our events are free or at a ridiculously low cost. 4) We strive for diverse events, the kind of events that will make a difference in you photographic skill sets. Landscapes, still life, product, food, travel, urban chic, photojournalistic, abstract, architecture, portraiture, sports, boudoir ,… We try to cover it all. We'll get back to you shortly with all of our events planned sometimes months in advance. "Everyone wants to live on top of the mountain, but all the happiness and growth occurs while you're climbing it" -- Andy Rooney
Please join us for the next adventure - it could be hiking, snowshoeing, a full moon hike, rafting, a hut trip, or maybe an evening of indoor rock climbing. This group was primarily started to be a hiking and snowshoeing group for all abilities, but has expanded to include all the events just mentioned.
This group is for hikers and adventurers of all abilities, from Beginner to Advanced. We will try our best to provide a wide variety of hikes to accommodate all abilities. Although a majority of our hikes are in Rocky Mountain National Park and in the Poudre Canyon where there are hundreds of trails, we do try and schedule several hikes up Colorado's 14'ers during the summer months. We welcome outdoor adventurers from all the surrounding areas including Loveland, Estes Park, Fort Collins, Longmont, Cheyenne, and Denver.
The Northern Colorado Adventurers activities may involve certain risks inherent with the activities that we do such as hiking, snowshoeing, rock climbing, rafting, canoeing and other adventures. You must post a clearly identifiable photo of yourself to be accepted as a member in order for us to know who you are since we almost always carpool. All membership is subject to verification over the phone or in person at one of the events.
One of the intentions of this group is to have members that are active, keep the size of the meetup events at a reasonable number based on the number of organizers leading each event, and to develop friendships and camaraderie. In order to accomplish this and make it effective, all members are required to attend at least one event every 6 months. This helps the organizers keep familiar with the needs of the members and encourages everyone to be active. All members are encouraged to suggest events to the organizers in order to generate new ideas and continue to allow us to explore new adventures!
Note: 10/16/2011; In August 2011 we opened up the membership of this group to new members. At the same time, we removed members who had not participated in any event in the last 6 months. The net effect of all this is that we are now back up to membership levels where we want to be, given the number of Organizers that we have and keeping the group size of our activities at a reasonable number. Membership to Northern Colorado Adventurers will re-open again in the Spring of 2012.
Mark Howell, Organizer
Northern Colorado Adventurers

This group is for active, healthy, positive, socially minded couples and singles, mostly in the north Denver/Boulder Metro Area, who, for whatever reason, are choosing to not drink alcohol as they move forward in life.
We would like to find like-minded people to do fun things with, especially on weekends. Most other adult social meetups in this area seem to focus on wine, hard partying, or extreme outdoor activities. We welcome non-drinkers, and also previous problem drinkers and alcoholics who are not drinking.
Our culture is ripe with messages that all social occasions need to include alcohol "to be fun". We want to do things now that don't center around it. Members may be someone who: - Has never chosen to drink and doesn't want to, but is compassionate and not judgemental about those who have in the past and now choose not to. - Could care less if alcohol is served - they just want a social gathering. - Has health or spiritual reasons for why drinking, even light "social" drinking, is no longer serving their bodies and spirits well. - Has had problems with alcohol in their life, and now choose to live without it.
This group is not intended to be a therapy group, or to replace a treatment program if you need one. Gatherings are not intended to be focused on the topic of "non-drinking". We just want to get together with other adults, ages 30-60ish, for other activities that don't center on alcohol.
Activities may include houseparties, potlucks, events, sports, game nights, music, outdoor activities, hiking, walks, camping, yoga, tai chi, theatre, trips, and more. We may gather at places where alcohol is served (to hear a good band, for example), but we'll enjoy it without poisoning ourselves. Most events will be for adults. Those where children might be present (such as a private house gathering or a river trip) will have it noted in the description.
We will charge a nominal fee to sign up for each meetup ($2 each), to help defray the monthly organizing costs, and to have you show your commitment. These fees will be non-refundable, and if there is an excess that is collected over time, we'll donate it to a party or event cost. There may be additional fees if needed to plan an event or activity.
We welcome your suggestions and offers for fun events. As we gather new members, we'll post updates. Email with any questions or suggestions. Please let us know your thoughts!

Above all we are a community If you have belonged to networking or leads groups before, you will discover that i Take The Lead is THE alternative. We believe that there should be NO Fines, NO Penalties, and NO Embarrassment when you attend your leads group. Many groups impose fines for not bringing leads every week. This not only leads to uncomfortable embarrassment, it also creates an environment where people pass unqualified or junk leads in order to avoid the fines and embarrassment.
We establish the structure necessary for a leads group to perform at maximum potential. Many independent leads groups lack this structure, which can cause them to deteriorate into simply social clubs.
An organized leads group that follows a structured format creates a professional environment. This creates a climate that is ideal for business people to pass referrals from a perspective of know, like and trust.
We facilitate the growth of each group and each individual by providing leadership and education. We have relationships with speakers and business professionals who present on such topics as: sales training, social media, business development, mediation, and marketing. We also actively participate in starting and growing new groups. We attend and lead new groups to help create the structure necessary for a group to be viable long term. We also actively market your new group to assist in building your membership. Other nationally and internationally known groups basically leave the creation and growth of the group up to the members.
We arrange additional networking functions including mixers and semi-annual member events. In addition, we participate actively with other networking organizations. These events add another dimension to your word-of-mouth marketing strategy. It is essential that you attend several different networking events in order to expand your sphere of influence. We have Dtc Leads Groups, Brighton Leads Groups, Lakewood leads groups, Denver Leads groups, Westminster leads groups, Golden leads groups, Broomfield Leads Groups, Parker Leads Groups, B2B Leads Groups, Arvada Leads Groups, Aurora Leads Groups and More.
If you are committed to growing your business, we are here to help.
Are you interested in ghost hunting? Have you tried contacting a local paranormal group, and got no response back?
Our aim is to teach people how to take part in paranormal investigations. We follow a skeptical approach, using equipment and personal experiences to investigate sites for paranormal activity. Not everything that goes bump in the night, is a ghost. It's up to the investigator to find and identify mundane causes for things that have been labeled supernatural.
After exhaustive investigation and research, if an explanation can't be found, it may be paranormal. These are the events we search for. They are exciting, exhilarating, and sometimes frightening.
Learn what to look for, what equipment is used, and how to use it.
Find out how to find a location, and secure permission to investigate it.
Learn how to research a site to get facts that separate the truth from lore.
Take part in field trips (ghost hunts), to put the skills you've learned to the test.
Learn how to analyze audio and video to find evidence of the paranormal.
If you've ever wondered what it would be like to take part in a ghost hunt, why not try it and find out?

I Empower Potential through Authenticity and Possibility! My mission is to Empower, Inspire & Validate ALL women to remember, believe & own their greatness! I was inspired to form this group by a mom of a potential participant for my teen workshops. Women today out almost everyone else before ourselves. We have forgotten that we come first in our lives and that if we don't we soon run out of anything to give to those we love. We teach others (including ourselves) how to treat us, and they are treating us badly - often by our own example! Spend this time once a month with an amazing group of your peers in a safe-space. We will share feely and openly the challenges that we are facing as women today. You will have the opportunity to be coached by a master facilitator to reach new heights of joy & fulfillment in your life!
I decided to start this group because I love hiking and I love book clubs. This meetup has all the activity of hiking and the great conversations of a book club in one! This meetup will be a book club in motion. We will read one book each month, and discuss it during a hike near Boulder.

Single parents have one of the toughest jobs out there! It requires sacrifice, balance, patience, energy, compromise, forgiveness, and lots of time and money. So why take this journey alone? Come join us! We strive to plan activities that are budget-friendly and fun for all. Between Kids Eat Free nights at restaurants, Parents' Nights, all the fun festivals that our region has to offer, physical activities that wear the little ones out, potlucks and more, you are sure to find something to do!
Our group is comprised of families of all shapes and sizes. We have separated, divorced, and never-married parents. Some are widowed, and some are single by choice. Some are experiencing the fresh wounds of a break-up, and some have been single for a long time. We have children anywhere from the toddler years to teens. Some bounce between houses with regularity, and some have only one parent. Some have special needs or have been adopted. And we are all geographically spread out.
What we have in common is a deep love for our children and desire to give them the best life possible. Our kids find comfort in having friends in similar situations and going as a group to places that are often filled with "nuclear" families. Our parents enjoy having companions who understand how thin we are stretched and who give us room to gab, grieve, and grow.
You can attend our meetups once a week or once every six months - whatever you are comfortable with. But take advantage of this valuable resource - your kids and your sanity will thank you :).

We are a group of people who have a vision, either for our personal lives or for our collective reality (at least one...often it's quite a few visions!). We are creating a support group to help launch that vision into reality. We support each other through exercises in clarifying our vision, sharing ideas and resources, and experiencing the joy of collaboration. Many of us have invested in politicians, in causes we believe in, and in our families...this group gives us an opportunity to invest our time and energy into ourselves and our dreams and to expand our investing into our community and invest in each other. We are all co-creators of this group...sharing in the effort and joy of creating and sharing in the bounty of ideas and connections we create. Anyone who has a dream or a vision and who is interested in a supportive community to nurture that dream into reality should join this group.
The goal of this group is to be a website where members can ADVERTISE THEIR NETWORK MARKETING BUSINESS TO OTHER NETWORK MARKETERS.
BE SURE TO ANSWER THE PROFILE QUESTIONS SO YOU CAN ADVERTISE YOUR BUSINESS. AND DON'T FORGET TO CHECK OUT THE OTHER MEMBER'S PROFILES, TOO! THIS IS THE HEART & SOUL OF THIS GROUP.
This is not a place to try to recruit out of other businesses but to be educated and buy products and services from other network marketers. We all believe in this business model and there are a lot of great businesses out there (some you may not even know about) - let's support others as they build their way to freedom!
The AlterMed Colorado Networking MeetUp Group organizes monthly events for networking between allopathic medical practitioners (doctors, nurses, PA's, nurse practitioners, med assistants, etc.) and complementary and alternative practitioners (TCM practitioners & acupuncturists, massage therapists, psychotherapists, Homeopathic practitioners, Naturopathic practitioners, Ayurvedic practitioners, energy healers, Reiki masters, etc).
We have two geographic chapters: Boulder and Denver.
Our goal for sessions is facilitate networking between practitioners of various modalities to enhance the capacity for healing in our healthcare system. Greater collaboration among practitioners specializing in different approaches and doctors allow for the integration of preventative & lifestyle guidance with acute healthcare for more effective and sustainable medicine.
AlterMed Research Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit foundation that is dedicated to bridging the gap between Complementary and Alternative Medicine (CAM) and Allopathic Medicine. These are fields that can be highly polarized, to opposite ends of the healthcare spectrum. AlterMed uses rigorous, scientific research as the language with which to join these fields for a healthcare model that provides more resources for holistic and preventative health. This combined approach has been termed Integrative Medicine (IM). AlterMed Research Foundation funds CAM and IM research, facilitates networking, and hosts the biannual Colorado Integrative Medicine Conference.

Colorado Friends Of Old Time Music And Dance is a non-profit organization that runs this community, participatory dances — such as contra dances — with live music and calling in the Denver and Boulder metro area of Colorado. No prior dance experience is necessary, and nearly all our dances are preceded by a lesson. Community dances are very social by nature — married and unmarried couples, singles accompanied with friends or arriving alone, and anyone from age 9 to 90 who enjoys dancing are welcome. It's okay to come and just check things out too. Children are welcome at dances if supervised by a responsible adult…
I'm looking to meet a diverse group of women who are interested in a variety of activities in the northwest area of metropolitan Denver - mainly the Westminster-Broomfield area. I'm 40 and single but this group is open to all women regardless of age/marital status... I enjoy dinners out, movies, music, books, theater, comedy... fun! I'm hoping to meet like minded women who want to get out about once a month with other women and have some fun.
As a divorce recovery coach I have seen firsthand the devastation of relationships gone bad. I am committed to changing that. I want to see you empowered so you can have a relating and dating life that is fulfilling. It begins with learning about yourself. If you don't know who you are you won't recognize your match if you see him or her.
Relationship success doesn't have to be a mystery. There are strategic steps to dating consciously and to creating powerful, loving, fulfilling relationships.
Are you experiencing a relationship transition? * If you are divorced is your singleness all that you want it to be? * How will you know when it's time to date again? * If you are dating is it time to get serious or get sexual? * Are you in a marriage or relationship that has become hurtful or boring and want to explore your options? * Wouldn't it be great to meet and learn from other people in similar relationship transitions?
There are many ways to prepare for relationship success. Sometimes this group will be about self-discovery, sometimes it will be about conscious dating skills, and sometimes it will turn to discussions for active daters. If we get enough people I will invite other guest speakers to share their knowledge about dating and relationships.
If you're hungry to learn and grow in the area of relationship success you will enjoy this group.

If you want to meet new and close friends, stay active, travel near and far, or simply just hang out doing your favorite activitity, then by all means, what are you waiting for? Join this group now! I started this group because it seems that it's been difficult to find others who enjoy getting out the house without a fight. I'm tired of listening to the same old song and dance. I'm too busy, tired, headache, I have to get up early, yada yada yada. We all have this however, c'mon. Every day? Really? I don't know about you but, I'm not dead yet. Most of my current friends want to wither away on the couch. Not me!!!! So – it's time to find other's that have the same interests. Young or old! I know you're out there. This is a brand new group looking for lively singles and couples who are full of life and enjoy many different types of activities. Our motto is to stay forever young while building lifetime friendships. Age is only an emotional state, therefore we do not have an era preference. Our group is diverse with many types of activities. A few of the activities include, but are not limited to the following: Camping, slumber parties, dancing, cruise ships, hiking, swimming, movies, happy Hour, skiing, amusement parks, boating, game nights, restaurants, bands, ghost hunting, indoor and outdoor sky diving, holiday parties, progressive dinners, murder mystery dinners, zipper lines, hot springs, boardwalks, and PARTY PARTY PARTY! Our main focus is to form a group of friendly, not so serious individuals who have a desire to enjoy life, have fun, and let their hair down in this crazy busy world. Anything goes! We will not discriminate against gender, age, race, character or being unusual. All members will be welcomed with kindness and respect. I am looking forward to having great fun and meeting new people! If you are interested in joining, we have availability for organizers and hosts. We are open to ideas and discussions. Everybody's input is appreciated and received. Please send an email with any of the above interests.
Boulder & the surrounding area is such a wonderful, beautiful & incredible place to live! There are so many social opportunities & a plethora of fun, crazy adventures to be had. But, for some strange reason, Boulder seems to lack a community for lesbians. It has been rumored that there is a large lesbian population in Boulder, but the Boulder lesbian tends to be an oft-spoken of, yet rarely seen "Nesting Boulder Lesbian" - a rare bird indeed! Well, this group was formed to change that!
Our group enjoys Boulder and the Rocky Mountains in any number of ways....hiking, biking, skiing, snow shoeing, sledding, scootering, camping, backpacking, dinner parties/dinners out, cabins in the mountains, game nights, grillin' & chillin', sporting events, random silliness, microbrewery exploring, open cornhole, bowling, lazer shows @ Fiske, Outdoor Cinema, Happy Thursday Cruisers &...?
We'd love some new ideas and some new women to enjoy them with. Please feel free to post/host any events you think the group would be interested in!
Unfortunately, Meet-up charges about $200./year for us to keep & run this site, so we must charge an annual fee of $5. for members to be a part of this group.
Thanks & hope to see you soon!

While there are some great groups in town that discuss a bunch of cool languages, there wasn't one that focused specifically on the language that you and I both love, JavaScript.
Until now.
These are fascinating times for JavaScript development, and this group will attempt to explore topics including, but by no means limited to:
* the power of raw JavaScript; * Ajax; * libraries like jQuery and Prototype; * techniques for building your own library; * server-side JavaScript with Node.js; * optimization techniques; * test-driven development; * and so much more!
We're a friendly group and we welcome developers of all skill levels, beginner to expert. We want to foster an environment where it's okay to ask questions and it's okay not to know about certain aspects of the language. We're willing to share what we know, and are open to learning from others.
Our meet-up groups are for the artist. Whether you are professional or not it is for everyone. We provide the props, and knowledge to have a great time. We are a casual atmosphere with lots of great fellow artists to be around. Our meet-ups will be unique in the fact that we tell a story....so stay tuned, because there is so much more to tell. :)
This group helps fill in the missing pieces created by our Technological Age. As a group we work together to help one another wade through the sea of information that bombards us on a daily basis. We utilize our unique backgrounds to grow a community.
We are about "positive leveraging" such that we are helping one another to deal more effectively with the challenges (especially financial challenges) of living in today's society. Some of the ways that we accomplish this is through: couponing, a Common Security Club (http://localcircles.org/), consumer awareness, consumer sustainability, and social networking (
http://www.denverfunnetwork.com/). An example of the consumer aspect might be Angie's List, except that we are more relevant and realistic. Are you often irritated at the circumstance of complaining to friends/coworkers about an experience with some business or industry and then your friends say "Yeah, I had the same experience!" If you had only known of their experience beforehand then you certainly would have acted differently!
We will throw in some fun activities such as: happy hours, art/fashion showcases, mountain excursions, and social mixers. We hope you'll join us in our efforts to make Denver an even more vibrant, welcoming home for everyone here.
We are always looking for:
* members practical suggestions for personal and local leveraging;
* businesses who may want to sponsor an event;
* venues who would like to have us host an event at their establishment;
* anyone who believes they can have fun while making a Positive difference;
We look forward to meeting you!

Sunrise Ranch has been hosting events at our spiritual community and conference center for years. Located just west of Loveland, our 350 acre property is the perfect place to come to reconnect with spirit, nature, and like-minded people. Thousands have come from all over the world to participate in these programs and it just occurred to us that extending an invitation through meetup.com might be a great way to continue to create community with spiritually-minded folks in Colorado.
Activities include: Dances of Universal Peace, Sweat Lodges, Personal Growth Retreats, Healing Arts Retreats, Week-long Wellness Programs, and Sacred Performing Arts. We also have an attunement sanctuary where we practice attunement as a spiritual healing art, with specific techniques to enhance essential health and well-being.
PLEASE NOTE THAT EVENTS ARE ATTENDED BY MANY MORE PEOPLE THAN ARE ON MEETUP, SO DON'T WORRY IF ONLY A FEW HAVE SIGNED UP ON HERE.
Please join if you are passionate about practical spirituality and seeking a local network to explore it in. Though 70 people live at Sunrise, its easy to get involved from wherever you live. Also, we're open to your ideas and leadership to organize new interesting events here.
